Need to add someone you met at an event or fair? You can manually create a new contact in just a few clicks β€” and First Thursday will take care of the rest.

🧭 Where to start

  1. Head to the homepage of the First Thursday app (desktop or mobile)

  2. Click the Add Collector button

  3. A window will open with fields to create a new contact

πŸ“‹ Fields and how they work

πŸ—“ Event

  • The current active event on your account will be selected automatically

  • You can change this if needed to reflect where the contact was met

πŸ‘€ Consultant

  • This defaults to the logged-in user

  • You can manually assign the contact to another team member if needed

🟠 Required fields

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email Address

    • Once entered, First Thursday will automatically search your database to check for duplicates and flag any matches

πŸ“ž Phone Number (optional)

  • Include the country code if you want to use WhatsApp later

πŸ“ Location

  • Add a city, country, or region

  • This helps with enrichment and understanding collector behaviour

🎨 Artist & Artwork

  • You'll see a list of artists associated with the selected event

  • Once you choose an artist, relevant artworks will appear for selection

πŸ“š Category

  • Choose from your preset options to help segment your database

πŸ“ Notes

  • Add any context or observations about the contact

πŸ“† Follow-up task (optional)

  • Create a reminder to follow up after a set number of working days

  • You can customise the default delay in Settings

βœ… Consent

  • Confirm if the contact has given consent to be contacted

πŸš€ What happens next

Once you’ve filled in the details and hit Submit:

  • A new contact profile will be created

  • The enrichment process will begin automatically

  • You’ll then be able to view, score, and contact the new profile from your dashboard
